Edible gardens are the focus of Gaia's Organic Gardens, a women-owned Perth business at Neerabup founded by Carla, which designs, installs and maintains organic vegetable gardens using sustainable practices and no harsh chemicals. Each project starts with a conversation about the space and goals, followed by a tailored design built around the block and its soil, and all-inclusive vegetable garden packages come in several styles. Designs can bring in composting, waterwise reticulation, rainwater collection, wildlife habitat and careful plant selection, and edible native gardens use native, edible plant species. A maintenance team handles general upkeep of organic gardens, and the business manages gardens for strata and apartment blocks as well as workplaces. It also runs garden consultations, Garden Doctor visits for struggling gardens, and workshops on organic gardening, natural beauty, fermenting and foraging for edible weeds.
